When Nice, Green, and Beautiful Landscaping needed a fresh, new marketing tool, we designed one for them . . . literally!

 
Isn't this little rake the cutest thing you've ever seen?! We are covering tools with cookies for a sweet introduction to this fabulous landscaping company.

 
I love this as a marketing piece, for several reasons. One, the tools. Perfect for a constant reminder of what this company does best - lawn and landscaping services. Two, the cookies. This company is currently marketing to offices where they need to impact several decision makers. Individually wrapped cookies allows this to be shared among numerous people, without the added expense of doing a separate gift for each person. Three, the whimsy. It is just so fun, and so unique. When Daisy (the super fun general manager) walked into her office carrying one of these cookie-covered tools, she literally stopped traffic. And that's exactly what an effective marketing piece should do.

We were so excited to have the opportunity to be a part of making William's first birthday a special occasion. William's mama sent us the invitation for his party, and we made photo cookies to match the invite.

 
The cookies were arranged in a bouquet that adorned the table where guests could sign in and write their birthday wishes for William.

daddy's girls and garbage can cookies

My girls adore their Daddy. There's just no other way around it. In their eyes, he hung the moon, and I think that's just the way it should be. My hubby is leaving early tomorrow morning to go out of town for a few days, so we celebrated Father's Day a day early. You would have thought I told the girls that Christmas was coming early. They were so excited they could hardly keep their toes on the ground.

We have a tradition in our family that I started after Hailey was born, for Daddy's first Father's Day. I stamped Hailey's handprints, cut them out, and attached them to a card that read "10 Reasons I Love My Daddy." We do this each year on Father's Day, and my hubby and I love to go back and compare how her handprints have grown each year. We started the same tradition with Kaylee her first year with us. I have this very Hallmark-moment picture in my head that one day when the girls are 30, they'll send their Daddy a Father's Day card with their handprints and their list. I know, I know, I'm mushy that way. This year we got out the stamp pad again, but the big change this time was that Hailey could write her own list.

Kaylee's #3 absolutely melted my heart, "He always comes back." A big deal for our little adopted daughter, and I love that she loves that about him. Hailey told me that "this year I'm focusing on the things he does to help me." I adore her #10, "your money you spend on food." That's right, never to early to learn the value of a dollar!

Since Daddy is driving a long way tomorrow morning, we decided to make him some special cookies as well. After all, it wouldn't be the Kookie Krums family if we didn't have cookies in there somewhere! But these cookies had to be special Father's Day cookies. Inspired by a recipe I found online, we decided to make what were called "garbage can cookies," thinking it was appropriate since Daddy always takes out the garbage. 

I made a mixture of my chocolate chip, peanut butter, and oatmeal raisin (minus the raisins) recipes, and combined them all together. After we scooped our cookies, we added some crushed Heath bars to the top, since that's Daddy's favorite candy. Can I just say delish?! They turned out yummy! I realized I may have been a little enthusiastic about them when my hubby was packing his snack bag for the trip and said, "should I leave some of these cookies for you?" I did say no - this time - because I realize it's not my day.

We did wrap them up for him in a cute little garbage can. This was one garbage can he certainly won't mind emptying!

Happy Father's Day to my sweet husband. He is an amazing father to our girls. He has more patience than I can dream of having, knows how to put work aside to take time for fun, is a great teacher of all things both interesting and practical, can be wrapped around a little finger with the tilt of a small head and a smile, and knows just how to win a little girl's heart or two.

Black & White Photo Cookies

Usually I'm a little hesitant to do black and white photos on cookies. What can I say, I'm just a bright color kind of girl. These cookies, however, turned out AdoRaBLe!

 
 They were favors given at a fundraiser dinner, and were placed at each person's place setting. The table was decorated with black, white, and lime, so these cookies complimented those colors perfectly.

Welcome Home

 

A personalized way to welcome someone to their new home. This flower pot was ordered by a realtor, who personalized it with the new home's address. What a fantastic keepsake!

For Baby Boy

A sweet flower pot we did for a new baby boy. His name was painted on the rim on the front of the pot, and his birthdate was on the back. What a great keepsake, and useful for storage in the nursery!

The Perfect Pair

I had the wonderful opportunity to be involved with a baby shower this past weekend. Not just any baby shower, this was a shower celebrating two very long awaited gifts. Sweet twin baby boys, who found their forever families and were adopted recently. We decided to theme the shower, "the perfect pair."

Guests were given pear shaped name tags when they came in. They also got a paper to answer some questions about the family's adoption experience. The questions were posted on pairs of pears throughout the room.

Diaper cakes graced the tables as centerpieces, all with a "pair" of something attached to them - bottle brushes, teethers, rattles, etc.

 

We made cake pops for the kids - although many of the adults enjoyed them as well! They looked absolutely adorable in the flower pots!

I just have to show you these balloons . . . aren't they fantastic?! Each family had their picture taken by the balloons, then wrote a note to the family. The notes will be placed in a scrapbook with each family's picture next to it for a special keepsake.

a sweet thank you

One of our clients recently wanted to thank her team, and came up with a fantastic idea. While she wanted to give them each a cookie, she also wanted to give them something they could hold on to and remember how much they were appreciated.

We put our ever-so-popular white chocolate macadamia nut cookies on a stick, and tied them up with fun ribbons. Then we added a purse hook to each one! I love it!! Cookies and purses - any girl's heaven! The designed base of the purse hook adorned the front of the cookie, and the velvet pouch to carry it in your purse was attached to the back. Who wouldn't feel loved receiving a gift like this?!
