peyton's rocker

Peyton is a precious little girl with a sweet, sweet grandma. Each of the grandbabies have received their own painted rocking chair that coordinates with their nursery theme. With Peyton just having her first birthday, it was her turn to receive a rocker. Peyton loves to rock, and has been scamming the other girls' chairs while patiently waiting for her own. I was told as soon as she saw this, she sat down to rock. We wish this girl many relaxing moments hanging out in her chair!

Big sis was glad it was time for Peyton to get her chair . . . because that meant she got to pick out some cookies when she came with Grandma to pick up the chair! That's what I call a win-win!

a bright baby shower

This was such a fun baby shower to be part of! Grandma-to-be, who was also hosting the shower, found these adorable mini flower pots at Michael's on sale. She wanted to incorporate these into the favors, which was a great idea. I love, love, love when you find something that jumps out at you, at a fantastic price, and just works to develop a party around it!

She wanted to do cookies for the party favors, but also wanted a nice centerpiece for the gift table. Great way to take care of multiple needs with one item. A cookie bouquet looks great as a centerpiece, and works perfectly for guests to pull a cookie for their favor on their way out. The flower pot then makes a lovely keepsake for the guest of honor.

We decided to make baby onesies for the cookies. They needed to match the flower pots that were also being used for favors, as well as the primary color theme of the shower. We frosted the onesies in various colors, then in alternating colors added a little flower in the middle of the neckline. The baby's name is "Kendal," so we added that beneath the flower.

 

The hostess decided to do some other flavors of cookies as well, so there would be a variety with the sugar. We used royal frosting, and piped flowers onto the other flavors of cookies as well. Did you notice the "K" in the center of each of the flowers?!

I absolutely love how this turned out, I thought it was absolutely precious. Congratulations, Kendal's family! We are excited with you to welcome this sweet baby into the world!

Barnie's beans are here!

I am so excited to announce that our Barnie's coffee bar is officially up and ready to rock your java world! A full vendor of Barnie's products, we are continuing some of what we've already done and now offering a whole lot more!  We've sold Barnie's coffee by the cup for a long time now; however, so many of our customers have wanted the option of purchasing the beans, which were not available until now. Take a look at our new space . . .

Doesn't it just look yummy and delish?! We currently have eight flavors of beans, with two of those being decaf. You can buy the whole beans, or let us grind them for you. We also have Barnie's Coffee Coolers. You can buy one to enjoy now, and take a bottle of the syrup home with you to mix up whenever you like! These are absolutely fantastic.

We also have the small packs of coffees in various flavors. These are fantastic to add to gifts or baskets, just the right size! These are also great for packing in your vacation bag to take great coffee along with you.

Happy Birthday with flair

This mom wanted to celebrate her daughter's Sweet 16 with a cookie bouquet. She had us write her daughter's name on the flower pot, if you look at the bottom you can see "Mackenzie Sweet 16." Then she added another special touch, that I just loved. She bought one of our "Happy Birthday" stakes and asked us to include it in the bouquet. I think it made such an adorable addition to the bouquet, I just loved it.

Our Celebration Stakes have recently arrived. In addition to the Happy Birthday, we also have Make a Wish, and Celebrate. These are cute, cute, cute.

Mom's Fun Basket

That is such an understatement for this basket. I had a blast working with Tammy from Curtis Fundamental to put together this basket for their Auction. The class theme was "Mom's Fun," and Tammy went to town collecting donations for this . . . literally!! Tammy is a donation collector extraordinaire, and I had a vision of the amazing display all of this put together would make.

We filled this ginormous basket with items from various local merchants, and then stuck in gift cards galore! We had items like a water bottle, stationary set, notepads, mini-drinks, incense, sachets, jewelry, and all kinds of other fun stuff.

Gift cards came from restaurants, house cleaning services, personal trainers, car washes, ice cream parlors, spas, salons, boutiques, and more! This basket was valued at over $1,000! I SO wish I could have been the high bidder on this basket!

Finished off with a dozen cookies and a gift certificate to Kookie Krums, this seriously was something any of us ladies would have been in heaven with. Fantastic outpouring from local businesses really made this basket the dream that it was.  Isn't it gorgeous?!

Perfect for Summertime

These wooden lanterns are the perfect summertime accessory on any table. Coming in yellow, pink, and lime green, they can be used for so many different things. That's one thing I always look for in home accessory pieces. I don't ever want my pieces to be good for just one use. They should be able to be revamped, revived or redesigned for at least several different things.

The lanters make a great hostess gift. Three fresh baked cookies tucked into the top. Tied up with fun ribbon. Very inexpensive. You can't go wrong with this one. Let's talk about what you can do with them after the cookies are gone too. The most obvious, put a pillar candle in the hurricane and use it in the bathroom. Fill it up with sand, scatter a few seashells on top, and use it as a centerpiece on an outdoor table. Stick your plastic ware in it for a fun caddy at an outdoor picnic. Put it on your desk for a perky way to hold pencils and pens. Use it by the bathtub to store extra body sponges.

I have now joined the ranks of bloggers everywhere who post on a specific topic weekly. I know you're so excited. Me too. My "thinking outside the pot . . ." posts will publish every Wednesday. A lot of you know my shop by the cookie bouquets, and our signature bouquet comes in a hand painted flower pot. That's what we do. It's what we've always done. And it is a huge success. However, there is more! Oh, so much more!

This shop is filled to overflowing with fantastic boutique gifts, and fabulous little finds. Great for quick hostess gifts, birthday gifts, special little "thinking of you" gifts, something just to tuck in your own purse to make you smile, and the list goes on and on. You can pair them with cookies. Of course. That goes without saying. But they're also wonderful on their own, and you really should know about them.

I just got in these fabulous frames from Demdaco. I absolutely love them. They're boxy and square, a fun alternative to the standard frame shape. And they are gorgeous. Beautiful sayings, beautiful designs. Priced at $24.95 each, they make a great gift on their own. The baby frame says "On the day you were born, the world sang." Doesn't that just make you melt?! "A sweet friendship refreshes the soul" is another one. So true.

Tuck a favorite photo in the frame before you give it for a thoughtful and personalized touch. For a baby or bridal shower, you can insert a gift card to an appropriate store instead of a picture. Wouldn't that make an amazing gift?!

Of course, you could always pair it with a bag of cookies and a pound of flavored coffee. There is nothing better than reminiscing favorite memories over coffee and warm cookies. Mmmmm.
