Before you say anything, I know this post is long overdue. I know it's almost the end of July, and that I should have posted these pictures, oh, say, on the Fourth of July?? I know. But I loved the pictures so much that I still had to share them!
July Fourth weekend the girls and I decided to frost and decorate some cookies. I think they were as excited about eating them as they were about decorating them. Or that may or may not have described me!
There's a lot of cookies in that bag, right? We decorated all of them. We didn't care what flavors they were, or if frosting would taste good on a white chocolate macadamia nut cookie. We just decorated. Kahlee decorated one. cookie. She was very focused on that one cookie. She wanted to decorate it, show it off for about a half a second, and eat it. Once it was gone, she was done, off playing.
I love how every part of her that could have possibly come in contact with frosting is covered.
I think she was afraid I was going to ask her to stop eating for a picture in this one! I know better than that.
Hailey, on the other hand, is no quitter. She's the one who made sure we decorated every. single. cookie. And she wanted me to comment on all the details of each of the cookies before she would move on to the next one.
In fact, Hailey was so proud of her cookies, that she refused to eat them. She took one bite, of one cookie (I think she just couldn't stand not having at least one bite!) and then wouldn't touch them again. She would just hang around the table to look at them and admire her work. And announce every time hubby or I thought we were being sneaky with taking one.
