You'll have to forgive me for getting behind in my posts. Sometimes I wish I just had someone following me around typing up my life for me!! Feels a little crazy to be too busy to type, but let's catch up!
Cinco de Mayo in downtown Dunedin is a big deal at Casa Tina's, the favorite local Mexican restaurant, and this year was no different. With the street blocked off and full of people for the party, it was a fun night! This year, they got local merchants in on the fun, by asking us to decorate sombreros in a way that advertised our business. The sombrero's were showcased during the fashion show, then auctioned off to support a local high school band.
Cookie bouquet. Sombrero. You see where I'm going here. Yes, I did create a cookie bouquet in the sombrero, and it ROCKED! Made with approximately three and a half dozen cookies, this was one full sombrero! One dozen cookies sported Casa Tina's logo, and another dozen showed off Kookie Krums' logo. From what I heard, our sombrero received the second highest bids of the night, so no shame there!
I had the best time creating this and showing off yet another fun way to incorporate cookies into an event. And don't you love my modeling?! This sombrero was HEAVY!!
