Kirstie Alley. In my store. Today. Eating a sugar cookie and raving over it. I still can hardly believe it. This is the closest I've been to a celebrity. Ever. I mean, I did an order for Kelly Preston last year, but her assistant called to place the order, so that was a few times removed. I actually had a conversation with Kirstie. And yes, I think I can call her Kirstie. She loves my sugar cookies. I held a debate in my head over proper celebrity protocol - should I act like I don't recognize her, or would she be more offended if I didn't recognize her? Do they go out to run their errands hoping they will be recognized, or is it worse if you're not noticed at all?? Could I ask to take a picture with her, or is that just SO completely annoying?? If anyone knows proper celebrity etiquette, fill me in. Please. I finally settled on not saying anything, because I couldn't decide. And I couldn't figure out a way to say anything without sounding like a gushing teenager, or a stalker. So there you have it. My big celebrity moment, and I have no proof. But she did love the cookies, so maybe she'll be back.
